How infrared heating works

A WELTEM infrared heater works like the sun. Instead of blowing hot air around, it emits infrared radiation that travels through the air and warms the floors, walls, machinery and people it lands on directly. Those surfaces then release the heat back into the room, giving a steady, even warmth you feel almost immediately.

Hot-air blowers do the opposite: they heat the air, which rises to the ceiling and escapes through open doors and draughts — wasting energy, especially in tall or open industrial spaces. Because infrared warms objects rather than air, far less heat is lost. In practice that can mean up to around 30% lower energy use, at lower thermostat settings, with no noisy, dusty air being blown around.
